Monday Prayer for Completeness in Christ

Updated: Feb 19

Happy Monday! May this prayer for completeness in Christ refresh your confidence in our God, who promises to complete the good work He has begun in us. "The one who calls you by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in you." 1 Thessalonians 5:24 TPT

Father, today is 9-9-19. What an interesting number! Nine is the number of completeness, of having all the necessary parts, fully carried out, concluded.

“At the ninth hour,” Jesus died on the cross.

Jesus, thank you for completing the work Father God gave you to accomplish. Such eternal consequences were completed through your agonizing death.

You gave us life. How ironic and marvelous. You completed your work by dying; and your death reclaimed life for us, for me.

How majestic is your name in all the earth!

We proclaim your glory and desire you with all our being, Lord. Finish the good work you have begun in us. Faithful God, complete the inner transformation to make us vessels of honor, fit for your service.

I want to be useful to your Kingdom, Lord. Do the work in me necessary for me to serve your purposes. Dig me deep. Clean me out. Define my character. Refine my heart.

Forgive my heart’s waywardness, Father.

You purchased me by paying full price, the full penalty for my sin. I am yours.

Now make my heart a fit habitation for your Holy Spirit, for all the issues of life flow from my heart. Nurture it. Heal it. Mend the wounds that mar its fruitfulness.

Allow your love to flow through me to others in a pure and healthy river. Complete your work in me, God. Give me all the necessary parts to fully execute the good works you planned for me to do long ago.

May my life conclude with the contented sigh of faithful service as I step into the presence of my King.

In Jesus’ name. AMEN.
