Power Prayer: My Heart Cry for Holiness
Updated: Feb 19
Words are merely words unless spoken from the heart. Before praying, read through the prayer and ask God to reveal truth to you. Pray as God leads.
Father God, I worship you in the beauty of Your holiness.
I stand before a holy God and tremble. You alone are worthy. My own efforts at holiness are as filthy rags before you.
Father, I repent for my lack of holiness. I repent for looking for the living among the dead as the women did on that first Easter morning. You alone are the way of life. I repent for my lack of purity. My life has become polluted from living in this world system, but you have made a way for me to live in the world but not be part of it.
Cleanse my heart, my hands, my feet, my mind that I might be completely clean. Strengthen me to resist temptation from the enemy of my soul. You have redeemed me from the curse of sin through Jesus Christ, my Lord.
Forgive me for the sins I try to hide from you.
You see my inward parts and know my deepest pain. I trust you to come into my wounded places. I give you permission to clean out the locked rooms where secrets and darkness have kept me fearful. Pour the oil of your presence on my wounds and bring healing. Send the wind of your Holy Spirit to blow out the dust and cobwebs. I trust you, Father God, to completely cleanse and heal me. You are my Savior, my healer, my provider, my hope.
Father, thank you for seeing my great need and making provision through the cross of your Son, Jesus Christ. You have given me everything I need for life and godliness.
Isaiah 35 says: “And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on the Way. The unclean will not journey on it;...But only the redeemed will walk there, and those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
Thank you, Father for cleansing me and allowing me to walk with you in Your holy way, in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
